Why?

Updated: Jun 19, 2023

I've forgotten who first told me that the world's cemeteries are full of indispensable people, but I'm glad someone pointed that out when I was young enough to be the one who thought themselves to be indispensable.

"We're all going to die" is almost my line, but more people started using it after COVID-19 made it into the species.

We are all going to die, and that might be a characteristic of life itself, but I will defer to my BIO Professor until I have a chance to discuss cellular death with him again. We had a stimulating discussion that verged on the debate, and he eventually threw his hands up on a couple of points, as did I.

He was convincing, however, so I will stick with "we" are all going to die. That simply includes all the living people and things and various types of minds and states of being that there are, because of Impermanence.

Some of us are more well-prepared for things to go as we'd like them to go as we age, become ill, and die, but many do not get that luxury. Many will die in a seemingly sudden manner, almost as if overnight: here today, gone tomorrow.

I am glad to be placing myself in the position of being able to help people prepare for death, on various levels including the legal, psychological, and spiritual levels, so that a peaceful death, with a minimum of -if not zero- psychological distress, is attained by all, and so that the grief is well processed by those who remain.

There is value in contemplating these things, and I can help you on that path, as I have walked it many times now, with many people. If I am not available to come to see you, I can usually help you find someone who can arrange access to your local resources. 🙏 In light. David O.
